Kenterrous Taylor Hold the line fundraiser by Shield Republic

New campaign honors Georgia deputy who died in line of duty following car wreck

‘Hold the Line’ apparel fundraiser from Shield Republic Charities will raise funds for family of Bibb County deputy Kenterrous Taylor

Smithfield, N.C. — March 19, 2020 — A deputy in Bibb County, Georgia who died yesterday in a car accident is the latest police officer to be honored with a fundraising campaign from Shield Republic Charities.

The charitable foundation of the American Lifestyle brand has introduced a new line of commemorative apparel remembering Deputy Kenterrous Taylor, who was killed in a crash at intersection of Forsyth and Rivoli Drive in Macon, Georgia the morning of March 18. The 27-year-old officer was off duty when he heard a burglary call and chose to respond. On the way to the scene, he lost control of his cruiser and struck a wall near the Rivoli Crossing Shopping Center. He was ejected from the rolling vehicle and died on the scene.

Deputy Taylor had served the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office since 2019. Prior to that he served as an officer with the Fort Valley State University Police Department in Peach County, Georgia.

As the son of a police officer, Deputy Taylor was known for a lifelong passion for law enforcement and an unwavering commitment to keeping his community safe.

“Deputy Taylor exhibited his dedication to service when he chose to respond to a call for help even when he was off duty,” said Charlie Romero, spokesperson for Shield Republic. “It is an honor to pay tribute to this hero through our latest Hold the Line fundraiser. We hope the campaign brings comfort to his bereaved wife and children as well as the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office team.”

Each “Hold the Line” fundraiser features a line of short- and long-sleeved shirts, hoodies, ladies’ tank tops and decals honoring fallen first responders, police officers and K9 police dogs. Every product is made in the USA and available for purchase at shieldrepublic.com, with 100 percent of net proceeds donated to a fallen officer’s family or unit.
