Smithfield, N.C. — April 10, 2020 — In honor of fallen Arkansas police officer Brent Scrimshire, Shield Republic Charities yesterday presented a donation check for $11,637.47 to the officer’s bereaved family.
The donation was raised through the charity’s “Hold the Line” apparel fundraiser and donated to the Brent Scrimshire Memorial Fund.
Officer Scrimshire, who served with the Hot Springs Police Department, was an award-winning police officer killed in the line of duty March 10. He was gunned down after a round of gunfire with a suspect at a traffic stop on Kenwood Street in Hot Springs.
100% of the net profits will be donated in memory of Police Officer Brent Scrimshire via the Hot Springs Police Department to benefit Officer Scrimshire’s family.
Officer Scrimshire was shot and killed while conducting a traffic stop in Hot Springs, AR on March 10th, 2020. During the traffic stop, Officer Scrimshire and a subject in the vehicle exchanged gunfire and both sustained gunshot wounds. Both were transported to a local hospital where Officer Scrimshire succumbed to his wounds.
