Smithfield, N.C. — May 7, 2020 — A fundraiser organized by an American lifestyle brand has raised more than $11K for the family of a police officer killed in the line of duty in Springdale, Ohio last month.
Shield Republic Charities, the charitable foundation of patriotic lifestyle brand Shield Republic, presented a check for $11,164.83 to the family of Officer Kaia Grant on April 21. The 33-year-old officer was killed in the line of duty when a fleeing suspect with a felony burglary warrant crashed into her late on Saturday, March 21.

100% of the net profits will be donated in memory of Officer Kaia Grant via the Springdale, Ohio Police Department to benefit Officer Grant’s family.
Officer Grant was killed while working to apprehend a felony burglary suspect. The suspect was being chased in their vehicle. Officer Grant was setting up tire-deflation devices when her car was struck and she was killed. EOW: 3/21/20
